Empowering St. Louis’ African American Community since 1989

The St. Louis Black Leadership Roundtable (BLR) is a dedicated action group working to improve the lives of African Americans in the St. Louis Metropolitan Region. Founded in 1989, we believe in the power of collaboration, dialogue, and direct action to achieve systemic change across five key areas:

  • Economic Development: Creating access to capital, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting career advancement.
  • Education: Advocating for quality education, closing achievement gaps, and ensuring equal access to higher learning.
  • Healthcare: Promoting health equity and ensuring quality healthcare services are available to all.
  • Neighborhood Stabilization: Revitalizing neighborhoods, promoting safe and healthy living environments, and combating displacement.
  • Voter Awareness: Empowering the community through voter education, registration drives, and increased civic engagement.

Driven by a diverse and dedicated team of leaders, the BLR:

  • Collaborates with partners to amplify our impact.
  • Provides a platform for community voices to be heard.
  • Advocates for policies that promote equity and justice.
  • Celebrates the achievements and resilience of the African American community.
